BEER

Recommended Posts

I have to admit I've not tried many Australian beers, I'll have to try and rectify that this year

Well you have done one better and had some OP Bundy and Coke on the banks of the Rhine!

I'll give some from your list a try too. Do I need to warm them in my crotch before I drink them?

Of course, but an armpit works just as well :)

And very nice it was too, it helped add to a very good evening

that's a bit of a coincidence you mentioning it as I was talking to a friend about it the other day and I couldn't remember the name, so thanks.

My local grocer has a "make your own six-pack" deal. You get to choose from a limited selection. Other than the Sam Adams Rebel IPA, this is the only one I really liked out of the six I tried:

And this one is brewed right down the street from me. :drink:

Back at the grocery store, saw this:

I think they mean "water-tank", but hey, looks interesting anyway. It's expensive, though. US$11.59 for a four pack!

Hope that is 7%, otherwise that's false advertising.

Looks like a nice beer, is it? and I like the sentiment on the front of the bottle.

can anyone else find some military named or themed beers?

In the UK there's the Bombardier beer, which is not a bad drop, especially their Burning gold and The Colonels Choice

"Shut Thi Gob" is good.

Bit like Gadd's Dog Bolter.

(Mental note: Pop down the shoppe and buy one for Crusty.)

It's a bottle conditioned ale, which was a surprise as it didn't say on the bottle....

I see it's a Brown Ale, not too many breweries doing Brown ale nowadays.

If any of you guys in the UK want to send me some Old Peculiar, I'd appreciate it.

It's a nice drop is that :)

Yeah, and there's nowhere within 1000 miles of here that I can get it. That was the highlight of my trip to the UK. Drinking an Old Peculiar in the Imperial War Museum. Good beer, tanks, airplanes and artillery pieces, it was friggin great.

I think you need to start up your own Beer importing business :)

Drinking a good Beer while soaking in the atmosphere at the IWM sounds great, now you need to do the same at the Tank Museum, just to see how

the experience compares :clin:

Sounds like a plan. Maybe I might make it back over there some day. I really want to go see the "motherland" Scotland.

So is that a ...

Dam Buster

Tallboy or

Grand Slam?

Neither, its only a 3.7%

If it was

5% it'd be a Dam Buster

10% = Tallboy

20% = Grand Slam/Rocket Fuel

:)

Not bad. From the inscription on the can:

Let us raise our pints to those who have paid for [our freedom] and those who still protect it.

I'll drink to that. :drink:
