Panzer Elite PP2-x released

Recommended Posts

Yes, it is truly a great update.

I notice the wheels on the moving tank moves up and down.

This is something which even the tanks on the latest sb pro pe do not have.

It is interesting that Retro raises those two issues given what he does for a living.

A bit like making work for himself.

Well, one can just hope that one day, a customer pays for let say 600 programming hours to get a some feature "X". And due to a miracle/divine intervention/coding epiphany, Retro is able to do it in 50 ;)

He asks Ssnake, "hey what to do with the 500 odd other hours?"

To which Ssnake will reply:" lets do 3D crew and bouncing road wheels" :-P

At which point Volcano will spout:

"Who are you??!! And what have you done with Ssnake??!!"

:P

I never said or wrote (or thought) that it wouldn't be nice to have these. I just pointed out that we prioritize other development tasks because they would plug glaring holes in our simulation rather than put a cherry on top of the icing.

That's not to say that icing and cherries aren't nice, and that they don't contribute to the overall cake experience. I also think that the visual changes between 2.6 and 3.0 indicate that we are now in a position where we can afford devoting some development time to non-essential stuff. So, there's hope. ;)

Breathes new life into the game:

Obviously one has to have the original game for the patch to be installed on. There seem to be several versions. Which 'original' PE game would you suggest? And does the patch have to be installed on to each subsequent version purchased?

Thanks in advance.

Panzer Elite Special Edition and then patch to 1.2. That is the basis for PP2-x.

Thanks Murkz. On order. :)

Thanks for posting and kudos to the guys updating the sim.

Bovington tank museum has a tiger 11/ Bengal tiger on display.

I for one would not liked to have meet one on the battlefield in a Sherman or a T-34/85

Had I been a WW2 tanker.
