Marko
Looking at the release notes.Just like to say thanks to esim and the team looks like lot of work went in to this release Major Bug crushing. The soviet/Russian ammo took a beating in the reduction of performance stakesBut if its more accurate all the better.Since when did we have a T-90A I thought only the S variant was modelledOr is it a typo

Moderators Volcano Posted December 22, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 22, 2014 Looking at the release notes.Since when did we have a T-90A I thought only the S variant was modelled Or is it a typo The resource files are named T-90A, but in the game it is called T-90S (because we received feedback from the helpful RU community that it is more an "S" than an "A"). So technically, we might refer to the current T-90 as an A or and S in the notes.

rob17
I just want to give big kudos to whomever comes up with such classic lines as "Bunkers are somewhat shiny despite having been given a stern warning and having been issued no polish." in the release notes!! :drink::luxhello: It really makes reading them a lot more fun (even when they are filled with lots of great changes and updates).

JohnO
Ok, great news and now for one of my dumb questions. Is it highly recommend to uninstall version 3.011 before installing version 3.023?
Moderators Volcano Posted December 23, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 23, 2014 Yes, you should uninstall 3.011 before installing. DO NOT uninstall 3.011 afterwards, otherwise you will have to reinstall 3.023 again since you will have removed some essential common files. Also, do not install 3.023 over 3.011. And there is nothing wrong with keeping 3.011 and installing 3.023 to a different location, but there really isn't a reason to keep it I suppose.

Except for those with custom: Keyboard mapping Menu screens Slide show pictures for the closing credits ... So they remember which files to copy over, rather than throw it all out and then try to find the old stuff. Certainly I'll be deleting my 3.019 folder though (and eventually the 3.002 one as well).

Hedgehog
Nope, only T-80 and T-90 AFAICR.The release notes might need a review....I thought 1 flavour of T-72 using this ammo might be a mistake.T-72B (early) is the omitted entry regarding the 3BM-42M ammo.Pg 16
Members Ssnake
In principle I agree ... but frankly, the day before Christmas Eve we all probably have better things to do with our limited time. So you'll have to live with this imperfection, particularly since the actual program works as intended (no T-90A anywhere, no BM-42M for any T-72).

Gibsonm
I get a web page not found when I try clicking on the torrent link.I saw the Windows standard "What do you want to open this with?" and Bit Torrent was the suggested option so I went with that. About 40% complete so far.

tirta
do I also need to erase the scenario and maps folder before installing the new version?
Members Ssnake
No. Either the files get overwritten or they are user-created and therefore need not be deleted.
Koen
Looking very good, THX !RE "night combat works again (to the extent possible without battlefield illimunation)"What does this actuallly mean ? Thx for reminding.Koen
Members Ssnake
With 3.011 there was a bug introduced that lifted essentially any and all spotting limitations for computer-controlled units in low-light conditions even if they had no thermal imager and no night vision equipment. That bug has now been removed again. As a result units may not spot you until you are rather close - until you open fire. Once that the muzzle blast has been spotted they know where you are. You will need to break line of sight and reposition to surprise them again. This is only moderately realistic, but still better than nothing.
