Captain_Colossus
Israeli tactical markings on the Sho't indicate: 1st tank, 1st platoon (turret side markings), 1st Company (Chevron pointed downward), 2nd Battalion (2 rings on the gun), 3rd Brigade (rear markings- often located on the mudguards)
Captain_Colossus
Egyptian T-62 with modern insignia. Similar schemes appear on other Egyptian armor such as on the M60, nearly impossible to decipher, unless someone else has some reference I could not locate. In 1973, the Egyptians used a quite a number of different patterns, often even within the same unit tanks might have a mix of patterns in different colors. Here is a two tone and three tone desert pattern, note the white bars, which were presumably used for friendly ID purposes.
MAJ_Fubar
Yeah, I'm liking these. I've always enjoyed your desert skins Capt'n, especially the T-62 and T-55's. Now I'm eager to see what else you've got coming down the pike...:clin:
