Scrapper_511
I just downloaded some custom skins for buildings and signs. Where do I put these custom .dds files?
Tacbat
Probably ...Mods/Woodland.
Gibsonm
I'm tempted to suggest you contact the author as they should have documented it - but it probably wouldn't do any good.Perhaps do a search for the file on your machine and put the new one in the same place as the old one?
Scrapper_511
Thanks for the replies. Tacbat was right. The folder is in SB Pro PE/Textures/Woodland. Previously I had mistakenly thought the directory was for vehicle skins only. I just backed up the entire Woodland directory before installing the custom building, signs, specular, and normals files.
Gibsonm
Glad they work. But of course that means they wont be available to you in Winter, Desert, etc.
Tacbat
Yeah, they'd need to be copied into those directories as well.

Members Ssnake
Perhaps do a search for the file on your machine and put the new one in the same place as the old one? That advice is somewhat dangerous as such a search would also yield the original program data. We created the mod folder so that the original files may remain untouched.
Scrapper_511
So there is a mod folder where I could've put these custom .dds files? Then I can access this mod folder from the editor?
Lt DeFault
There is a mod folder: in "C:\Users\Owner\Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods". Not sure what you mean about accessing the files in the editor.
Scrapper_511
Disregard last transmission. Over.
Members Ssnake
So there is a mod folder where I could've put these custom .dds files?Yes. Details are described in the user's manual, chapter 2 ("Installation") in the section about the file structure. It may be boring, but it's essential knowledge for the advanced SB Pro user.
