It has been successfully installed in my laptop computer to include my TeamSpeak Client. All of these is up and runbing. Now do I put the “Camp Hornfelt” folder in my eSim Games folder?.. You put it here: C:\Users\your name\Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\My Scenarios\downloads Personally, when running a MP session, then I usually place the scenario one library up, so its easier for me to find it, so here: C:\Users\your name\Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\My Scenarios Edited July 4, 2018 by Nike-Ajax

Small ad hoc games, one of which might start soon, or Friday’s TGIF session. I look forward to your participation whenever you decide to join in. Nike-Ajax
Subscribe to this one and you will get a heads-up when an ADHOC game is about to go off. That is if you set up your Steelbeast.com in such a way that you get a mail when a subscribed thread has a new post. We do an average of 3-5 sessions of 1-3 scenarios per week, usually starting at around 1800 GMT Edited May 27, 2018 by Nike-Ajax
wildbillkelsoe
The realism of this sim is incredible! My favourite vehicle so far (havent tried them all really) is the A1 Abrams MBT. Because its very much manual in nature, and you are not sure what is behind trees at the 8x zoom level even in thermals.
HaplessTeaCosy
Just purchased this game/simulation after watching numerous YouTube videos of Matsimus in multiplayer engagements. Since downloading I've been playing for five hours straight! I have used other battle management simulators in an intensive multiplayer setting and I regularly play War Thunder. This is the first game/sim I've used that integrates the gamey click-and-shoot with the tactical battle management simulation. To be honest, I don't care so much about the click-and-shoot side of it (I'll just play War Thunder for that). I'm more interested in the battle management simulation aspect and desire to make my own maps/scenarios with training outcomes. I hope one day soon I can fully figure out the controls and other things so that I can link up with a few of you to do some co-operative simulatons. bloodycut
Great thing was to get this game work again in 3.0 version. I have watched 4.0 version I was surprised its new design. Flares were great and new graphics of panzers and military stuff. Cons are I haven't purchaced game yet and I have no time to play. I can only talk about it and dream I could play this game perhaps after 5 years.

I reckon there would need to be at-least four newbies And two experienced players. Unfortunately my work schedule does not give me time to play much SB anymore. I miss it a lot if somebody wants to take up the mantle i would be happy to promote it on other forums i frequent. Gibsonm
Not for me. Been up too many times at 4am (or earlier) waiting for someone who didn't bother to turn up. In part that was the reason why I built the Wiki page referenced above, so that new players could get an understanding without relying on someone else. Then they could join a convenient VU and go from there. Edited July 12, 2018 by Gibsonm
Nike-Ajax
Respect and dont fully disagree with what Mark wrote. However for me its real easy: we make a deal to set something up specifically and you dont show up without notice, then we dont make another. Of course there can be any number of valid reasons for why people dont show up. Primary challenge seems to be one of timing across timezones. But at any rate the easiest way is just to jump on one of the smaller sessions. And Mark is a good teacher - so might want to check out BGANZAC. But bottom line: Do what makes sense to and feels right for you. And dont be shy to join a MP Edited July 12, 2018 by Nike-Ajax

I'm hardcore simdriver and started again also SB. Don't take this as a joke. Develop a schedule, I suppose? In Single-player, you can always pause the game and take care of whatever you need to. That should give you enough time to train on crew-level skills with 10 minutes here and there throughout the week. Getting into Platoon-level work with scenarios such as Camp Hornfelt (posted below) will probably take about 30-45 minutes per scenario, depending on which scenario you are playing. For Multiplayer, you would need to ensure that you are able to play (relatively) uninterrupted for however long the game is going to last. For a typical organized game, I would use three hours as a base, especially for your first few games: 30 minutes for briefings/getting set up; 2 hours for gameplay; and 30 minutes for the AAR/after gameplay chat. This time can be increased or decreased based on scenario length, the number of new players requiring help connecting, how detailed the initial plan is, etc. So yeah, I don't know how busy your family life is overall, but if you can get a caretaker/pass off the children to the spouse for about three hours, that should be more than enough time for a typical Steel Beasts multiplayer scenario. You need to say "when" - otherwise we are just guessing. If you commit to a time we can work to achieving it. E.g. I can do "now" but I have no idea if that's any good for you.
