desertsaint101
square bashing is a term used for repeated drill, on the drill square ie marching in formation ect, but I think they have mistranslated the translation there

TankHunter
Perhaps I'm thick, but I didn't see anything that positively identified those forces as belonging to RusFed. The UA has made constant allegations that the forces that they are fighting are organized RusFed formations and they have provided very little information to back those statements up.In and around Mariupol the UA and rebel forces have been fighting off and on before and after the ceasefire. The rebels are setting up a camp near there? What a surprise. :clin:
Members Ssnake
Perhaps I'm thick, but I didn't see anything that positively identified those forces as belonging to RusFed. The UA has made constant allegations that the forces that they are fighting are organized RusFed formations and they have provided very little information to back those statements up.I suppose the logic is "1. it's not us, so it must be them. 2., it's an organized force with good planning, so it can't be the rebels." ... nothing that would hold up in court, but then again military intelligence assessments aren't made for court. Also, I don't want to mock this line of thinking, it may actually be valid if you have further supporting evidence, e.g. knowing that the rebels officially only captured T-64s but here are T-72s, so at least they must have acquired the equipment from "a foreign source" or something along those lines. The camp construction itself does appear to be very organized. It's hard to come up with such orderly construction from scratch or just by reading some manuals, so this does suggest a rather professional approach. In the end however, it's all applied Occam's Razor Theory. What's most plausible, what scenario requires the least number of assumptions?

Tjay
Occam's Razor....The favourite tool of spoil-sports everywhere. Particularly the 'cock-up, not conspiracy' bunch. :clin:

The date time stamp in the upper right hand corner of the video seems to indicater it was made June 4th, 2015.

Members Ssnake
Came out at least a year and a half ago. That would suggest that it was made at the latest about two years ago - it's summer now, and it's summer in the video. Per your statement it was published in November '13.The Krim declared independency, whatever the merits of that declaration, in February 2014. So you're saying that a video showing the war in East Ukraine was made a year before the war actually broke out. Remarkable.

Not entirely clear on how long this whole thing has been going on for.But I have seen this video before, and it wasn't long after the war started, I know that.
