Gibsonm
Hear, Hear!I think it speaks volumes for the French that the crowd of football fans at the match between France and Germany spontaneously sung the French national anthem, La Marseillaise, after the explosions took place outside the Stade de France.

DarkLabor
Thank you my friends. It was a very saddening night. A lot of people lost their lives because of some people lust for blood. It is a very harsh reminder that IS can strike everywhere. If you plan to take part to an event within a crowd, be careful and vigilant. When intel agencies screw up, you are directly endangered.

Tjay
Personally, I can't see how ISIS/ISIL is going to defeated without big boots on the ground. Please note: this is intended as a 'tactical options' comment, not a political one, but it perhaps warrants a new/different thread.

Tjay
There Is no way to approach this subject without making political or unsavory comments. I cannot not touch it with a 10 foot pole.Don't then. However, I see no reason why the best methods to achieve the defeat of a particular terrorist organisation cannot be approached 'without making political or unsavory comments', but I accept that this thread - dedicated to sympathy with France and the French victims of this atrocity - is probably not the right place.
