Tjay
Thanks for posting those links 12A; both make for interesting reading, particularly for those who believe that cyber warfare will play an important - indeed crucial - part in any future major conflict. For any organisation wishing to avoid observation by 'the authorities', moving its internal communications to the so-called Dark Web makes perfect sense from a security point of view. But it will probably not prevent Anonymous form disrupting them (if it so wishes) because Anon has been part of DW from the start and knows it better than most. It will, however, definitely cramp that organisation's ability to spread propaganda and conduct recruiting among the general population.I trust this thread will be deemed non-political andallowed to run and as it could turn into an interesting discussion of cyber warfare techniques without putting forward any specific political viewpoint.
Hedgehog
One could say Clausewitz theorem applies here. How long will anonymous' aims align with state/national governments ?At the moment they are an aligned hacking group with no official backing or control.
Tjay
Ah well, they are a pain in the side (I think that's the word) of many governments. IMHO this current 'alignement' is an example of how the current crisis is bringing together diverse 'elements' that are at odds in many ways but share the basic tenets of Western culture. It's circle the wagons time. On the original subject - cyber security - this battle will inevitably be fought out of sight of the general population. I doubt that Anonymous will be producing daily progress reports. And we will probably never know how successful/effective their actions are.

12Alfa
Well between Wikileaks :luxhello: and Anonymous :luxhello:, it keeps the governments and corporations actives out in the open, other wise they do what the hell they want.:mad3:
Moderators Volcano Posted November 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted November 21, 2015 I expand on it:Give the hacktivists something good to do, for once. :clin:
12Alfa
I can see why some from NA would think Wikileaks has not done any good leaks. However anons have quite a reasonable rep if you look into the group and not any media BS :mad3:.
